Director - Jessica Bishop

Hi there, I’m Jess, the founder and  Director here at JTTL.  I’d like to share with you a small snippet of my journey so far since setting up Jess Takes The Lead in 2014.

It began with Amber, my extremely active, playful collie cross. She unknowingly nudged me towards my pet care career by filling my days with adventurous walks and unconditional love. After years of research and the huge desire to work with animals, I decided to take the plunge with the help of the Princes Trust and Started my own small pet care business. This was a huge commitment, but I knew I had the drive and the passion to work hard and make it happen! Especially with Amber by my side. My enthusiasm for animals, dogs especially, couldn’t be hidden. I began to train in different areas of pet care, Dog grooming, Dog Training, First Aid, I then took on and trained staff to create a strong team and together, we have grown the business to where we are today. I can’t wait to see what the next 5 years brings to the pet care industry and I’m excited to be part of Cardiff’s pet community. I love what we do, and hope that you and your pet will do too.

So if it’s adventure that your dog is after, come and join in on the fun, you’ll get a great big slobbery welcome!

Hi I’m Jon, Myself and my pal Scooby started at JTTL in 2018, after serving a long career in the Army. It’s been a great journey since joining the team, going out on our tailor-made dog walks, making lots of pals and spending time getting to know each dog’s personalities. I’ve built a fantastic profile of our dogs and match the best suited walks for them. Following completion of our K9 First Aid course, I’m now training to become an IMDT dog trainer along with Jess which has been fantastic so far, furthering my passion for working with and learning more about our best fury friends.

chloe - dog grooming assistant

Hello, I’m Chloe, I’ve been part of the team since 2018. I greet our fury friends at the salon, settling them in before the service begins. Alongside Assisting the stylists in the grooming salon, I always make sure the pups are well and truly pampered, giving leaps of attention, play and comfort when they need it most. I’m excited to continue to build on my knowledge and training and will always give the best care your dog can get.
